Person talk:Edward Farrington (3)

This is two people combined into one page [12 June 2021]

It is ironic that NEHGR, p. 118:216 is cited in the Personal History on this page, because the whole point of that "Notes and Corrections" by Ward M. Gray is to argue that the article p. 55:301 was treating two individuals as but one.

Edmund Farrington was living in Lynn in 1655. He died 20 Jan 1671 (date given on this page), his will dated 1666 names Elizabeth who presented his inventory 25 Jan 1671. He and wife Elizabeth came in the Hopewell in 1635, so it appears he had only one wife.

Edmund had a son Edward named in his will, who may or may not be the Edward Farrington of Flushing of 1640, signed the Flushing Remonstrance in 1657 and married Dorothy Browne. His widow Dorothy was his executrix on 1 July 1675 [i.e., the probate date given on this page, but note that 1 Jul 1675/76 entered here is an invalid date of unclear meaning, and doesn't come from this source]. --Jrich 22:39, 11 May 2010 (EDT)

His father's death date has been removed from this page. The date his widow was named executrix has been corrected to 1 July 1675.--DataAnalyst 12:08, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, Janet for finding this discrepancy and fixing it. Jillaine 12:52, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
You`re welcome - but Jrich found the discrepancy, I just fixed it in the process of fixing bad dates.--DataAnalyst 14:49, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
