Questions about Ebenezer's Death Date [17 December 2014]

IMHO there is something amiss with the death date inscription on Ebenezer's headstone (see Find A Grave photo). It appears to me as if if the Oct 2nd date was added over another date which may explain why sources 1 & 3 list a death date of 30 Mar 1776. Additional evidence to support either date would be helpful, if any watchers have it. I'll keep looking as well. --Cos1776 03:13, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

The extra lettering you see is "br" which is connected to Oct, Oct'br and "th" connected to the day of the month , 2 or 2th. No overlapping occurs. --SkippyG 18:27, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
