The source(s) shown for the birth of David Hopping seem to be his gravestone/death record which only lists the years his age at the time of death, aged 77-78 in 1859. From where does the specific birth date come, 25 Feb 1781? Are there any Hopping records in Augusta County records to substantiate the presence of the Hopping family in 1780s?
