Marriage Information

It's good to learn what we can from Percy & Annie's marriage license, and would also be helpful to find the newspaper article about the wedding. Annie is listing Mary Schilt as her mother because Mary is the only mother that she knew. Her biological mother (Minnie Kummow) died (Carl & Minnie probably did not divorce) when Annie was quite young.

Spelling of Schildt

There are several spellings of the surname "Schildt." Some leave out the "c" and some leave out the "d" (more common in Switzerland). Furthermore, it seems highly likely that the "i" should be a "u". It would be very helpful to find in a newspaper article some reference to Annie's grandparents or an uncle on her step-mother's side in order to discover how they may have spelled their name after they came to America. In the 1900 census for McHenry county, I can find Carl Schuldt and Christ Schuldt, but no Schildt, nor Schilt, nor Shilt.

Showing birth dates of living people

In order to comply with the general policy at WeRelate regarding not showing personal information about living people without their permission, it might be a good idea to remove Generation 3 and 4 from Annie's page. This information can be viewed without registering (i.e., it is a public website) and some of your "cousins" may be concerned about identity theft.

If you click on your name, then you will be taken to the first step in creating your own User Page, which you could do by clicking on the "Edit" link near the upper right and then on the "Save page" button near the bottom left. In between, you could add (just by typing in the text box) some friendly information about yourself, your interest in doing family history research, or whatever (but, it should not be a commercial pitch). Timeline for Kenneth [17 February 2010]

Upon creating a timeline for Kenneth, it seems likely that this Kenneth could not have been married to Edwardene Juanita Bissell in 1944 and fathered Selah Juanite Ware on 10 September 1944 without being a bigamist! He fathered five children with Lucille Irene Schwarder from 1936 through 1946. There are several men with the name "Kenneth Ware" in the 1920 census.

Yes this is true, Kenneth married my grandmother under the name of Kenneth Hogan. He was married to Edwardene Juanita Bissell for 3 - 4 months. This is according to conversations with Katie Velting 8/29/91
