Which regiment? [12 April 2011]

Which regiment did Alexander Walters serve in? We're trying to mark all of the Civil War veterans here on WeRelate. Thanks! --Amy (Ajcrow) 22:40, 10 April 2011 (EDT)

He probably served in Company E in the 22nd South Carolina infantry. His compiled service records show his name as A. T. Walters throughout. Unfortunately no age is given. He did sign his letter as A T. Walters and I don't find another candidate in the South Carolina census. I have documented that he lived in South Carolina in 1860 and 1870. He lived there until his death but I don't plan to enter all of that info. I will add the information for his military service and his death. I changed his death date from 1925 to 1927 per his death certificate. This is not my family; I am watching the page because of the Coker connection.--Beth 20:05, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
