[add comment] [edit] Wife of Abraham Foster [21 August 2011]Abigail Parsons as the wife of Abraham Foster seems to be based on old Ancestral File submissions. Because of the conflicting information, I would be quite happy with removing Abigail Parsons as the wife of Abraham Foster and leaving his wife as Abigail Unknown.--GayelKnott 12:14, 20 August 2011 (EDT) I concur. Please go ahead and do so, and if you don't mind, create an Abigail Unknown as the wife of Abraham Foster, with the appropriate death date and citations. These people are only indirectly related to my line - but if you want me to complete the cleanup, just let me know. --DataAnalyst 23:44, 20 August 2011 (EDT)
[add comment] [edit] marriage [26 July 2020]I removed the marriage to Job Lane and the item "p. 336 - Abigail Parsons was the second wife of Job Lane, son of John Lane, and was living in Sandy Bay in 1754" from the source citation. The source only uses a name and provides no identification of which Abigail Parsons it was. Given that Job was born 1704-5 (Gloucester VRs p. 1:414) and this Abigail in 1678, and that there are other Abigail Parsons (e.g. Gloucester VRs show one b. 1704, one b. 1718, one b. 1721, one b. 1724, and one b. 1730-1 would all be marriageable age after 1751 and of more appropriate age), this seems unlikely. No marriage record is found, though, so basis of Babson's statement is unknown. Job and first wife Mary had children from 1735 to 1751 so any second marriage would have been in the 1750s if at all. --Jrich 16:09, 26 July 2020 (UTC) |
