We are trying to find out more about the Gilbert family and noticed from the internet that you also are interested in this family. My wife's paternal grandmother was Zora Mae Gilbert (married to Ray Hopkins Smith April 8, 1906 in Sidney, Cheyenne Co. NE). Zora Mae's parents were Basil Morris Gilbert and Elizabeth Almira Bond (born in KY). Their parents were Samuel Turner Gilbert and Rebecca Jane Bond (went from Ky to NE). Their parents were John Gilbert and Sarah Tabor 9 both born ion VA and died in KY If you have any information on these families or any of their ancestors we would very much like to hear from you.
