- ↑ Zilpha is the last child mentioned in the distribution of her father's estate, so presumably youngest. Source:Vinton, John Adams. Giles Memorial, p. 191, says she "never married; lived to old age", but without dates or records to confirm this, how known? Unmarried in 1762 when her mother wrote her will. There is a marriage record in Middleborough and Plympton in 1781 of a "Mrs. Zilpha Holmes" to Thomas Hayford/Hefford.
