Facts and Events
In 1775, he enlisted in the 10th regt., Continental line, Connecticut. He was discharged at Saratoga in December, 1777. He appears again at his birthplace in 1782, enlisting again in the cause of the Revolution, in Captain William Humphrey's Company, Colonel Jeremiah Olney's regt. He moved from Vermont to Lewis about 1799, where he lived at what is now locally known as "Westcott Hill." source: Westcott History by J. Russell Bullock, p 158
