Zachariah2 (Johnson) (William1) was born about 1646, and married Elizabeth Jeffs, daughter of John Jeffs, about 1673. In 1689 he was impressed for the Indian War, and March 12, 1675 he and his wife joined the church in Charlestown, of which he was a member until his death. His wife, however, became a member of the Old North Church in Boston in 1685- Zachariah was a brickmaker in Charlestown, but moved to Boston where he built a mill. Also in a transfer of land he is called an oatmeal-maker. He apparently became very well-to-do. His wife died April 8, 1717; and he died after June 12, 1717 when he executed a deed of settlement on his children. He outlived all his brothers and sisters.
