Brewster Jones Cincinnati, Ohio - Volume I - The Grafton Press 1908 - Page 135 Captain Zadock Brewster (Joseph 5, Nathaniel 4, William 3, Love 2, William 1), married first at Preston, Conn., Lois, daughter of Benjamin Brewster (William 3, Love 2, William 1), baptized November 11, 1744; died November 14, 1777 (g. s. at Canterbury, Conn.); married second, November 22, 1779, Lucy Knight of Canterbury, born October 26, 1750, and was living at Thomaston, Me., September 19, 1838. He died in Maine, May 21, 1811. Zadock Brewster removed from Duxbury, Mass., to New London, Conn., where he was living in 1776; thence removed to Canterbury, Conn., and about 1786 he settled at Old Thomaston (now Rockland), Me. “He enlisted in the Revolutionary War from New London, April 29, 1776, and served to Dec. 1, 1776, as first lieutenant of Capt. Theophilus Stanton's Row Galley 'Shark' of Conn.” |
