Yola Elizabeth Loughner, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. She was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania on June 18, 1925 to Anthony Petrilli and Lillian Santy. [Yola is survived by her daughter Jonalyn “Lynn” (Dannel) Agar, her grandchildren Briana (Nathan) Johnson and Kyle (Ellie) Agar, and her great grandchildren Benjamin, Zoe, Emma, and Noah. Y]ola is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Loughner, her parents, her brother Robert, and her sister Geraldine.
Yola and Bill met in Jeannette, PA in high school. She was very active in drill team and drama. During her senior year, Bill left to serve in the United States Army Air Corp in the South Pacific theatre. They married after the conclusion of the war on November 20, 1945. They were married for 58 years.
Yola and Bill lived in Jeannette, PA for nine years after getting married. After the birth of their daughter, Jonalyn, they moved thirteen times in thirteen years following Bill as he advanced in his sales career. They moved to Carrollton, TX in 1982 to be closer to Lynn and Dannel.
Yola and Bill spent years enjoying ballroom dancing together. After his death, she continued to attend weekly ballroom dances well into her eighties. She could always be found with a camera in her hand and she loved taking pictures. Yola also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was affectionately known as “Nana.” She also enjoyed spending time dancing, reading, emailing family and friends, and watching her favorite shows on television. She was full of life and will be remembered by all those who knew her.
