    GREEN MYERS - Winston Green Myers, 90, of 933 E. Memorial Highway, Harmony, died Sunday, July 3, 1994, at his residence. He was born April 25, 1904 in Wilkes County, a son of the late Edward (Doc) Myers and Mary Ann Roberts Myers. He came to Iredell County at the age of 2. He was retired as a machine operator for the N. C. Department of Transportation and was also a farmer. He was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church and was a mason, a member of the Harmony Lodge AF & AM 229, the Harmony chapter 331, Order of the Estern Star, and a Shriner, member of the Oasis Temple and The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, both of Charlotte. On April 23, 1932 He married Virgie Bright Conner, who preceded him in death on June 24, 1991. Surviving are one son, Gary W. Myers of Wauchula, Fla., and four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Tripp of Greensboro, Mrs. Mary Jo Danner of Route 4, Statresville Mrs. Jo Ann Weaver of Goldsboro, and Mrs. Delores Brotherton of route 11, Statesville. One son, James Winston Myers, two brothers and eight sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holly Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. Clifford L. Gwaltney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Myers, Henry Tripp, Benjy Danner, Tim Coffey, Bruse Starr, David Vinson and Tony Simpson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m Tuesday at Reavis Funeral Home in Harmony. The family will assemble at the residence.
