    Wilmer J. Quade, 89, of Verona, Mo., passed away 7:12 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at Lacoba Nursing Home, Monett, Mo., following a lingering illness.
    He was born on Jan. 3, 1915 in Sarcoxie, the son of the late Paul and Louise Block Quade. Wilmer was a sales clerk, a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt, and also a member of the American Legion in Freistatt. He was an Army veteran.

    Wilmer married Nora Mattlage in Freistatt on Jan. 5, 1941. She preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 1972.

    Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Joeckel, of Aurora, Mo., and Barbara Sullivan, of Joplin; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt with Pastor Brandon Luft officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran School in care of the funeral home
