Willis B "Bill" Mitchell, 87, died Aug. 3, in Kalamazoo MI.

Bill was born in Burgoon, a son of Clyde and Estella (Havens) Mitchel l. He had been a Fremont resident since 1968 and was a self-employed farm er in Lindsey for many years. He later worked for Whirlpool Corp.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, VFW, Moose Lodge and the Ea gles.

He is preceded by his parents, his wife, Etta May (Roberts) Mitchell, so n, John O Mitchell, a brother and a sister. He is survived by daughter, Su zanne (Kenneth) Rieger of Mattawan MI.; grandchildren Laura (Mark) Rentsc hler and their daughter, Amanda, and Julie (John) Unthank and their son, N olan; brothers, Dale and Don; sister, Marilyn Miller; and brother-in-la w, Norman Roberts.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visitation: None.

Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 212 N Clo ver St., Fremont, with the Rev. Stephen E Seibel officiating.

Inurnment of cremains: Sand Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials: St. John's Lutheran Church or Easter Seals.
