    Willard R. Bill Nothstein, 93, moved to Rhode Island six years ago and died May 31 in Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick, R.I. Bill was the husband of the late Pauline (Taylor) Nothstein and father of the Late Judith (Nothstein) Albert. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. where he worked for 35 years. Bill grew up and lived in Lehighton the majority of his life. He was a veteran of World War II and received the Bronze Star. While residing in Lehighton, Bill was an active member of Lehighton Fire Company, American Legion and the Eagles. Throughout his life, he was active in his church and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Episcopal Ministries.
    Survivors: Bill is survived by his daughter, Roberta Ryan of Warwick, R.I.; four grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Daniel Ryan all in Rhode Island and Brenda Eckley of Palmerton.

    Services: A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Lehighton on Thursday, July 16, 2009, the wedding anniversary of Bill and Pauline. The service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a light buffet in celebration of Bills life
