Birth? Brighton, Sussex, England
Marriage to Eliza Niles
Death? Bef 1937 Michigan, United States

William and Eliza Wood came to America in 1825 from Brighton, Sussex County, England with six of their fifteen children. Mary Wood was married to John Werrenner and with three of their children also made the crossing. It is possible that Mary and John were not counted as six of the children and Mary was in fact a seventh child.

KAC: 17 October 1995 - The changes of John Wood to William Wood and Elizabeth _____ to Eliza Niles were made this date on the basis of the genealogy of the Warrenner Family by Maurice R. Blair obtained by Kathryn Morley from the Detroit Library.

The last eight children were added on the basis of Robert Chapelle's copy of a letter of John Combs, dated 21 December 1836 and the Warrenner genealogy. It is not unreasonable to assume that in the period from the last decade of 1700 until 1825 that four of the fifteen children may have died.

KAC: 12 January 1996 - WOOD: - made changes to Jane, changed Ann to Thomas, changed blank to Martha, changed blank to Harriet ,changed blank to Rebecca ,and changed Mary and Charlotte on basais of Kay Morley's notes and copies.
