William Wilkins and his wife Janet, had three sons, James, Robert and William, the last two dying without issue. The former removed to Peter's township, in Cumberland county, Pa. There may have been daughters, but I have not been able to ascertain that fact. [Source: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/m/u/n/Peggy-D-Munson/BOOK-0001/0009-0001.html].

From "The Scotch-Irish in America", pg. 214:
Rev. James Anderson was taken on trial, and on the last Wednesday in August, 1727, he was regularly installed as their pastor. One of the first things he did was to purchase the plantation of Peter Allen, which he traded in 1727 to William Wilkins (son of Robert) for a farm along the river on the present site of Marietta.
