In the name of God Amen I William Whitton in Caroline County Virginia Drysdale parish being Sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory thanks be to Allmighty God I make ordain this my Last will and testament in mannar and form following vizt.
first: I Commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have a free pardon for all my Sins and my body Commit to the Earth to be Decently Interred at Discression of my Executrix hereafter named & as for my temporil Estate which it hast pleased God to bless me with all I give and bequeath as followeth
Item I give & bequeath to my four youngest Sons namely Thomas,William, Robert and Jeremiah my tract of Land which I purchased of Col. James TAYLOR two hundred acres be the Same more or less Lying in King & Queen in the fork of Mattocosoe Creek to be Equally divided amongst thema fter my wifes decease:
Item I give and bequeath unto my son George WHITTON thirty Shillings Crorrent money when he Shall demand the same.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Anne DAVIS thirty shillings Current money when she shall demand the same.
Item I give and bequeath all the rest of my personal Estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with all lying in what part of the worldsover my Just Debts and funeral Charges being first paid to be Equally divided between my Loving wife Mary WHITTON and my six youngest Children Vizt Thomas, William, Robert and Jeremiah, Mary and Elizabeth WHITTON.
Item I give and bequeath my Negro man Peter and a Negro wench NanEqually with the Rest of my parsonal Estate amongst my Said Loving wife Mary WHITTON and my afsd. Six children further Its my will and pleasure that my said two Negroes Peter and Nan remain and be with my Exx hereafter named for the Better assisting my said Exx. in the bringing upof my youngest Children
Further it is my will and pleasure that non of my sd six children shall receive any part or share of my personal Vizt untill my said sons obtain the age of twenty one years and my Daughters the age of Eighteen or day of marriage and Lastly I do make and ordain my Loving wife Mary WHITTON Sole Exx of this my last and testement Revoking all other wills and Testements by me heretofore made In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Seventeenth day of April in the Second year of the Raign of our Sovereign Lord of Grat Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith Anno Domini 1729.

The above Last will and Testament of Wm. WHITTON dec'd. was proved. Mary WHITTON the Exx. therein Named and also by the Oaths of Robart FARISH junr. and Thomas HILL two of the witnesses thereto and admitted to Record.
