Obituary posted in the Kansas City Times July 18, 1972 William D. Warner, 51, of Weston in Platte County, died Sunday at Spelman Memorial Hospital. He was born in Owingsville, Kentucky and lived in Weston 22 years. He was a retired machinist for Kramer Manufacturing Company, Leavenworth, Kansas. Mr. Warner was a member of Christian Assembly Church in Weston. He was a World War II Army Vetern. He leaves his wife, Roberta Henderson Warner of the home; five sons, William D. Jr. of the home, Mitch, Larry, Danny, Gary of Louisville, Kentucky; six daughters, Miss Teresa, Linda, Kimberly all of the home, Mrs Donna Smith, Smithville, Miss Janet Lea, Frankfort and Mrs Gerry Lentz, Louisville, Kentucky; his mother, Mrs Edna Cline, Frankfort; four brothers, Johnson Cline, Walter Cline and Ewell Cline all of Frankfort and Sgt. Billy Cline, Ft. Dix N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Clarine Smith, Frankfort and three grandchildren. Rev. W. J. Franklin officiated at the services held at Vaughn Chapel, L. R. Vaughn was at the organ accompanied the soloist, Mrs J.R. Benner. Pallbearers were Jewell Anderson, Oliver Kerns, Roy Dunn, Gaylord Ferguson, Walter Searcy and George Hayden. Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
