This may or may not be the same William Underwood that Caroline Anna Gaddie married after she married John Brown Osborne. He is located on the same census page, if fact he is literally located right next to Caroline Anna's father Johnson Gaddie, on the page. If this is not the same man, then it is probably his father. ddnan@@Juno.com mentions a Taylor Co. KY record that indicates that W.J. Underwood was Anna (Shofner) Gaddie's personal representative when her property was appraised at a value of $15.25 on 7 Aug 1889. Anna was Underwood's mother-in-law, and was listed in the record as 'lunatic'. ddnan@@juno.com thinks that lunatic was really what we now know as Alzheimers.
