I just sat down to write you when I saw your letter pop up! I just went to Fort Wayne to the Allen County library Thursday. I have to get up about 5:30 and didn't get home until 10:30 that night. It is all the way across the state. They did however have a new book that I had not seen there before on the 2nd Reformed Church of Berne. This is the Thompson's Lake Reformed Church. It is a little less that 50 pages so I copied the whole book. I really need to find a cemtery list. Someone has to have copied the stones, at least. They are all done here in Indiana. The DAR did a lot of them. I will check with the historian who doesn't know anything. I will also check with the history center near here if they ever open. I have been over there 4 times and they were closed when they were suppose to be open!

Now on to more "good stuff". I wish I could do as well on my lines! I didn't see a marriage yet.

I saved the best until last... from "The Capital" ...these are in a collection called "Brinkman Bible Records" They seem to have copied a lot of old bibles from Albany area. I found Stephen Hungerford's record also and two brothers to my line, Henry Shaver & Carel Shaver in the past.

The first two must have been someplace in Montgomery Co?

In response to how I am related. I told a friend that I ought to do a book on Albany families, since I have been keeping tabs of so many of them. I just keep collecting info when I run across it on families that have married into mine. My ancestor is Catherine Shaver/Shafer Seger/Sager. Her mother Magdelena Feil Shafer m. John Devoe after her first husband John Shafer died. She had a number of children by both men. So the Devoes are 1/2 brothers to my line. Did you follow that? And I collect all info on all family members so I am collecting on the Devoes also. I also have many other direct families in that area...including Brownell, Dorn, Egmont, Lansing, etc.
