William Turner was baptised on 31st October 1776 at Heckington in Lincolnshire, son of Elizabeth Turner, formerly Gray, and her husband Philip Turner, a farmer. He was the youngest of seven surviving children. William is named in his father's will, written in 1803. He has yet to be traced after 1803.
