Lucy Turner was baptised on 29th May 1774 at Heckington in Lincolnshire, daughter of Elizabeth Turner, formerly Gray, and her husband Philip Turner, a farmer.

She was married on 30th March 1797, aged 18, to a farmer named John Creasey from the neighbouring parish of Great Hale. Their marriage was reported in the Gentleman's Magazine under the heading "Marriages of remarkable Persons".

Lucy and John settled in Great Hale after their marriage, having five children baptised there between 1798 and 1811, although their second child died when she was only five years old. The children's baptisms mostly describe John as a farmer, although one describes him as a grazier.

Back in Heckington, Lucy's father died in 1803. Lucy was left twenty pounds under his will. Lucy's mother died in 1818.

Lucy and John appear in the 1841 census living on Church Street in Great Hale with their youngest son.

John died in 1842 at Great Hale. He was said to be either 72 or 73 years old. Lucy survived him by seven years. She died at Great Hale on 4th June 1849, aged 75.
