From Source, pg 90: "The only list so far found of the children of William and Catharine (Linnington) Thorne is that of the Hempstead Census of 1698, which, as noted above, shows three; one of them, Henry, who appears again below, identifies William Thorne of Gloucester County as William Thorne of Hempstead, and helps to clear up the confusion created by Dr. Eaton regarding the William Thornes who remained on Long Island and those who moved to New Jersey."
