William Swaine, sou of Richard (1), married Prudence, daughter of William Marston (1); lived on apart of his father's home lot (nearly opposite Mrs. Dorothy Ward's). He was one of the eight, lost at sea, in 1657.
[p. 985] Their [Richard and Basselle's] sons, William and Francis, preceded the parents in coming to America. "Entered as passengers in the Rebecca, John Hedges, master [6 Apr., 1635], William Swayne, 16, and Francis Swayne, 14 years of age.
