Christ's Reformed and Lutheran Church organized in August 2, 1873 with 60 members. William A. Stutzman, David Otto and Peter Stutzman.

According to the "History of the Stutzman Family" : "When the present church at Fountain was organized, in 1874, the Stutzmans were the most active members. The land for the church was donated by one of the Dengers, and the lumbar was furnished chiefly by William A. Stutzman and his brothers, and it was sawed at his sawmill."
