From Schuylkill County Pennsylvania Archives, Volume 2 " Misc. Deed Book #5, page 282 - translated from German - DINGER< George, of Hegins Twp.

Today, November 3, 1838 an agreement has been made between Georg DINGER and the official inhabitants of Lower Mahantango Township, Schuylkill County. First, the aforesaid Georg DINGER promised to give aforesaid land for the purpose of building a school house on the Pottsville road, next to the line of Michael STUTZMAN's land. Secondly, the aforesaid Georg DINGER promises to give a small house, which stands on this land which they may tear down and re-build on the aforesaid land, if they think it is fit for a schoolhouse. The aforesaid Georg DINGER gives these free and without any encumbrances. But this is to be used only as a schoolhouse and for no other purpose that to hold school there in for this aforesaid purpose. I promise to give all that is mentioned above for eternity, but the above mentioned inhabitants must maintain it so that school can be held when it is necessary, and anyone shall have the right to send their children to school if he wishes, and so that no one can be denied permission from sending either his children or others in their time to school. I swear to the above agreement this day and year with my own hand and seal by witness. Witness, Peter BRESSLER Georg DINGER, (SEAL) Notarized: September 11, 1841 - by both singers, by Philip Ossman, JP
