- William Stuart never came to Ameica but each of his three known sons did. He may also have had a brother John who came here, settled on the Cheat River and later returned to Ireland. There is some doubt that William was actually Irish, he may have originally been Scotish. The name may have been spelled "Stuart". The first granddaughter born to this family was named Nancy Agnes which may be a clue to the name of William's wife.
