    Bio: William Stepson was a steer-roping champion who was a victim of the "Reign of Terror." He died of suspected poisoning in 1922, as documented on page 308 of the book "Killers of the Flower Moon" by David Grann [ISBN 978-0-307-74248-3]. Authorities never prosecuted anyone for the murder; his grandson Marvin Stepson was a chief trial court judge in 2015 in Powhaska, OK.
