WELL KNOWN GROCER SUCCUMBS AT HOME- William M. Smith, 74, Dead- Rites Tomorrow. William M. Smith, 74, a native of Delaware County, died at 9:45 o'clock yesterday morning at the family residence, 1302 East Jackson street. Mr. Smith, a member of a pioneer Delaware County family, was born April 9, 1861. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. B. Frank Smith. For many years he was associated with the W.W. Trullender Grocery. He was a member of Jackson Street Christian Church, Delaware Lodge of Masons and of Muncie Lodge No. 74, I.O.O.F. Mr. Smith and his wife Mrs. Rebecca E. Smith, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary September 19. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. E.F. Daugherty at 2:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Meeks mortuary. Burial will be in the Beech Grove cemetery. Besides the widow, the surviving are a daughter, Mrs. homer Hancock of Pontiac, Mich; a son, Carroll F. Smith of Buffalo; two grandchildren. and two sisters, Mrs. C.D. Wiley of Tennessee and Mrs. Grant Reese of this county.
