SIMPSON,W. Pte 6th Royal Warwickshire Regt
Volunteering on the outbreak of war, he served for twelve months on important duties with his unit. He proceeded to France in August 1915, and fought in the Battles of Loos, Albert, Vermeils, and Vimy Ridge. Owing to ill-health he was compelled to return to England, and was discharged on account of his service in June 1917. He holds the 1914-15 Star, and the General Service and Victory Medals.
