illiam "Bill" H.F. Schroeder, 82, died on Friday January 11, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was the son of the late William and Flora Schroeder, and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he retired in 1992 form Zoellner Pistons, after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his children; Pamala K. Morvilius, Steven A. (Yvonne) Schroeder, Bruce E. (Martha) Schroeder, Julie A. (Bret) Rickman, and Kimberly S. (Mark) Young, brother-in-laws; Duane Wake, and Robert Pennington, sister-in-law; Betty Schroeder as well as 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Carol J. Schroeder, son-in-law; Eugene Morvilius, granddaughter; Nicole Morvilius, brother; Herbert J. Schroeder, and sister; Phyllis Pennington.
Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, January 15, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Calling will also be held from 4 to 8 PM Monday, January 14, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, or Bethlehem Food Bank, Fort Wayne.
