Will of William Scarborough

In the name of God! Amen.
I William Scarbrer of Brunswick County, being sick & weak in body but of perfect mind & memory, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner & form as follows.
Imprimis I give unto my Grand Children, Polly Williams & Asa Pritchett, the sum of five pounds current money of Virginia to be equally divided between them.
Item. I give unto my Grand Children Peyton & Thomas Loyds, children of my daughter Lucy Loyd, dec'd ---.---
I give unto my daughter Fanny Scarbrer my Negro girl named Sunny, to her and her heirs forever.
Item I lend unto my beloved Wife Jane Scarber my Negro woman Rachel, also my household & kitchen furniture, together with all my stock of cattle & hogs and my black horse, for use during her natural life and after her death, I give the said Negro woman and her increase unto my daughter & sons Fanny, William & Thomas Scarbrough to be equally divided between them and as to the balance of what I have herein left to my wife at her death after my lawful debts are paid, I give it to be equally divided between all my children, Thomas & William Scarber & my daughters Sally Loyd & Fanny Scarbrer after my wife's death and if she thinks proper to hold them during her life, and after the said Thomas, William, Sally & Fanny shall pay ten pounds current money of Virginia unto John J. Garner, which I give unto him & which I desire should be raised out of the three Negroes last mentioned.
Lastly I constitute & appoint my friend Samuel Roberts Executor of this my last Will & Testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & Seal this seventh day of June Anno Dom One Thousand Eight Hundred Three.
