William Sanderson, son of Robert Sanderson, was born at Hampton, New Hampshire, in 1643. He took the oath of fidelity. All his children except Hannah were born in Watertown, and he then removed to Groton. Massachusetts, but on account of trouble with the Indians returned to Watertown. He married, in Watertown, December 18, 1666, Sarah. S2

    William Sanderson (lineage not ascertained, perhaps a son of Robert), m. in Wat., Dec. 18, 1666, Sarah -----. After the birth of all his children, except Hannah, in Watertown, he probably moved to Groton. William Sanderson took the oath of fidelity, 1652.

  4. If William was son of Robert, this is the only place he fits in the birth order (unless he was son of the first wife which would place him about 1637 or earlier). Also note that "Joseph son of William Sanderson" was named in the will of Deacon Robert, but no other children of William. However, Joseph was not called grandson as were all the other grand and great-grandchildren named.
