Joseph Sanderson, son of William Sanderson, was born in Watertown, Massachusetts, August 28, 1680, and settled in Groton. He married there, Sarah Page, daughter of Samuel and Hannah Page. His estate was administered in 1736 by his widow Sarah.[1]

Bethiah Kemp claimed that her illegitimate child Joseph (born 1714) was his son, and he was required to pay maintenance, but DNA testing has shown that this was not true.[5]
