William Reid’s Book - “Sons and Daughters of American Loyalists” on page 261 indicates that a William Reed settled at Thurlow, Ontario.

In the History of the Settlement of Upper Canada, reports that on the fifth day of March, 1798, William was appointed as an assessor.

His will was probated August 29, 1827.
