On May 13, 1796, in Augusta County, Virginia, a marriage license was issued to a William Ralston and Ann Gibson. This William is thought to be the son of Samuel Rolston and his wife Agnes. William is reported to have removed to Kentucky in 1802, but by 1826 he is noted in the settlement of father’s estate as residing in Washington County, Tennessee. I’m hoping someone might have some information either on this William or the William and Ann should they not be the same person.
