B WILLIAM PICKENS, son of William and Mary Pickens lapse of time indicates, was probably born about the close of the Revolutionary War. He lived in Sullivan County, Tennessee, from which place he enlisted in the War of 1812. Very little information has been secured about his life, and we have a record of only two of his children: C John Pickens, C James Pickens
