WILLIAM F. PARKE was born on 31 Jul 1815 at New York.

He married MARY JANE FOSTER, daughter of CYRUS FOSTER and MILLICENT REEVES, on 22 Apr 1840 at the age of 24. He was a Farmer in 1850. He and MARY JANE FOSTER appeared on the census of 1850 at Palmyra, Wayne County, New York. First wife Mary likely died about 1852. She appeared in the 1850 census, but by 1854 William and Henry are living in Indiana and William is remarried.

He married CATHERINE E. PERKINS, daughter of ABRAHAM T. PERKINS and HARRIET HOPPER, on 15 Sep 1854 at the age of 39. William was 11 years older than Catherine when they married. It was a second marriage for William. They had children late in life. The couple had four children. Eliza, Will, Lillian and eight years later their youngest son Zenith Arthur (known as Arthur). Oldest daughter Eliza died at the age of fifteen months, just one month after the birth of brother Will.

He and CATHERINE E. PERKINS appeared on the census of 1860 at Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana. He was a Farmer in 1860. He and CATHERINE E. PERKINS appeared on the census of 1870 at Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana. WILLIAM and CATHERINE E. PERKINS appeared on the census of 1880 at Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana. WILLIAM was a retired Merchant in 1880. The 1870 census goes a bit further and states that he was a retired grocer.

William died on 22 Nov 1885 at age 70. He was buried at Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana, in Union Street Cemetery.
