Sudden Death - Our obituary column contains the death notice of Mr. William Charles Overend, who, on Friday last, was in apparent good health. After coming home he took to his bed, and on calling in the family physician pronounced him to be suffering from inflammation of the lungs, and his condition was such that nothing could be done for him. On Monday afternoon about 'unreadable' o'clock he died. His death was sudden and unexpected, and was a great surprise to his many friends, amongst whom he was highly respected. The funeral took place on Wednesday morning at 8:30, when the duties of the pallbearers were performed by eight sons of the deceased. The corpse was taken to the Church of the Guardian Angels, and a solemn requiem was sung by Rev. Father Campbell and Rev. Father Rholeder presiding at the organ, and an eloquent sermon by the Rev. Father Shea. Deceased leaves a widow, eight sons, and two daughters to mourn his loss.
