Presumed dead, about age 20. He left for California and had written letters to the family every few days. The last letter they received stated he was leaving Denver the next day. They never heard another word from him, and never found out what happened to him. He is absent from the family picture taken about 1901 for his parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.
