  10. Jake wanted children and often accused his wife of taking birth controlpills since she was not getting pregnant, which brought her to tears onmost occasions. Mary (Henry) Henneke upon witnessing one of theseevents, told Lottie she should send Jake to the doctor to be checked outhimself, since he had had high fever with pneumonia as a child. Sureenough the conclusion was that the lack of children was the fault ofJake and not Lottie
