Daughter’s obit in 1966 says:
Bertha Morrow was born in Keokuk County Feb. 27, 1879, a daughter of
William and Nancy McConnell Morrow. She was married to Lester Smith
Sept. 20, 1899 and he died Feb. 14, 1908. Surviving are two sisters:
Mrs. Ferne Hartnell and Mrs. Mattie Morgan, both of Richland; four
brothers: Harry of Ottumwa, Howard of Richland, Homer of Douds and
Rollie of Muscatine.
