Obituary for William Landon Mills - June 24, 1980

William Landon Mills, 72, 0f 4306 Rice Road, died yesterday at Boone County Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mills was born in Springfield to Jhent and Blanche McNeese Mills. He married Julia Glover in 1928, and she survives. A grocer in the Columbia area for 30 years, her worked on a part-time basis at the University of Missouri.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Betty J. Biswell of Manhattan, Kan., and Mary Ann Fick of Huntington Beach, Calif., two sons, William M. Mills of Clarendon Hills, Ill., and Dale Mills of Buffalo, Mo.; one sister, June Walters of Mexico; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia, and one brother, Harold.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mills' name may be made to the heart fund.
