Info from Red McNeill: W.H was Capt of one of bigest wagon trains out to CA; in Nevada, one of the men from the group shot an Indian woman. The tribe retailiated, man surrendered and was skinned alive. Family story was that Wm H. took an Indian wife out near Beryessa.
