William McLain sold 80 acres of land in Northwest Twp. on October 30, 1858 to son Ira A. McLain for 500 dollars. Ira turned around and leased the land back to William and Maria McLain on November 28, 1860. It then appears that on September 17, 1861 William and wife sold Ira another parcel of 80 acres for 1000 dollars. It may be that William bought it back and then sold it back to Ira (?).
