Taken from the October 2nd, 1998 issue of The Idaho Statesman: Obituary: William Denzel McLain William Denzel McLain, entered into his new life peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 1998 at a Boise hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m on Friday, October 2,1998 at Joplin Cemetery. Pastor Loren Yadon of New Life Fellowship Church will officiate. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. Denzel was born on June 26, 1908 in Grey, Okla., the son of William and Carrie McLain. He was well loved by family and friends. He will be best remembered for his love of music, harmonica playing, and his beautiful tenor voice. Denzel is survived by one sister, Edith Lewis of Boise; one son, Bill McLain of Califonia; six step-children, Kenneth and his wife, Lois White of Boise, Richard White of Mackey,Idaho, Marcene and her husband, Harold Roberts of Ridgecrest, Calif., Marion White of Middleton, Galena Geisey of Charleston, S.C., Paul and his wife, Marion White of Boise; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian McLain;, parents; and five brothers. Visitation will be held today from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. Apparently, he was called by his middle name. References
