Wm. R. McFerran married Ann M. Courts, daughter of John Courts, November 6, 1817. She is dead. They had eight children, six daughters and two sons, seven of whom are living, twenty-one grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He married the second time, Mrs. Mary Bacon, November 18, 1846.
