From Angela Davies Marriage of Sarah Tubbs Dale to William Maynard registered on Vol 1d, page 1056. Also living in Greenwich Kent on the 1861 census together with Sarah's nephew and niece John Newby aged 11 and Mary J Newby aged 5 (Her sister Mary Dale and husband John Patterson Newby's children) On census 1841 he is aged 12 (HO 107/1113/7 On census 1851 he is aged 21 single living with parents and sister Harriett He enlisted on 8th Sept 1853 aged 24 years he was discharged on health grounds at the age of 40 years 6 months on 19th April, 1870 and was lving at 12 Queens Street Brighton (WO 97/1816)
